Summary

In Part 2, Chapter 1, Schwab introduces Kisimyr Vasrin, one of the participants in the Tassen Easch magic competition. She is drunk at the winner's ball when Osaron attacks. Kisimyr tries to fend him off and protect the other attendees but is burnt to death by Osaron.

In Chapter 2, Kell tells his parents and friends what happend while he was imprisoned in White London. They all realize that something is wrong at the winner's ball which is being held on the roof of the castle. Kell races to the roof to help fend off Osaron and is shocked to see Kisimyr dead. The rest of the attendees are unharmed so far. King Maxim confronts Osaron, and Kell attacks while he is distracted.
