Summary

In Chapter 3, the teenagers arrive back at the large house, and Evie feels grateful to no longer be outdoors. They find that the parents are panicking about the incoming storm, which some reports say will be a hurricane. The teens help the parents prepare for the storm. Some parents drive into town for extra food and supplies. During the preparation, a few more teenagers are eliminated from the game when their parents’ identities become evident. Evie has not yet been eliminated. Evie realizes that she does not know where Jack is. She sees the young twin sisters—Kay and Amy—arguing over a doll. Kay hits Amy in the head with a rock. The parents call an ambulance. Later, Evie finds David drinking alone. Alycia has departed with James’ group on the yacht. David admits to Evie that he sabotaged the yacht’s navigation...
