Kolabagan Slum

Kolabagan slum is the village where Jivan and her family live. It is located next to the station where the terrorist attack occurs. Jivan and her family move here after being evicted from their former home. Lovely also lives in Kolabagan, where she moves after being cast out by her family. She and Jivan meet here and become friends.

Kolabagan Train Station

Kolabagan train station is where the terrorist attack occurs at the start of the novel. Jivan is standing on the station platform as the train burst into flames and explodes. She watches the passengers on board calling for help. Unsure what to do when flees. When government officials discover Jivan was at the station on the night of the attack, they use it as further evidence against her.
