Summary

In Scene 7, Leo and Vera sit in the apartment. It is the middle of the night, and the audience can only see their silhouettes against the window. Leo goes into detail about Micah’s death for the first time.

Leo and Micah were biking through Kansas. Western Kansas is incredibly flat so it was not difficult for the guys to pick up speed on their bicycles. That morning they were riding as the sun was low in the sky, making it the perfect opportunity to take photos of their shadows while biking. As Micah is taking a picture, Leo hears a truck coming up behind them. He assumes that Micah is also aware of the vehicle because they both began to hug the shoulder of the road.
