Summary

In Chapter 25, while Jake was in Dallas with Sadie for her first operation, he made a phone call to de Mohrenschildt. He noticed de Mohrenschildt did not have any worry in his voice even though Jake had said he wanted to talk about Oswald. When Jake reminded de Mohrenschildt he had accused Oswald of trying to shoot Walker, de Mohrenschildt claimed that he was joking. Jake promised de Mohrenschildt he could get oil leases approved for him in Haiti if de Mohrenschildt could prove that he was not with Oswald the night that Walker was shot at. He asked de Mohrenschildt to meet him at nine that night with proof he was not with Oswald when the shooting took place.
