Two Audiobooks of The Regulators have been published. The abridged version, read by the actress Kate Nelligan (New York: Penguin Audiobooks, 1996), comprises six cassettes and runs nine hours. It omits the passages from Audrey's journal, the screenplays of the Regulators film and MotoKops episode, letters, and other interpolations. Although transitions are occasionally abrupt, Nelligan's reading is adequate, though uninspired.
