1. In this novel, Card presents many historical persons and events, but he has deliberately altered them in order to explore certain themes in the context of a fantasy adventure. Choose one of the following characters or events to read about in the encyclopedia and other sources. Then write a report discussing the differences between what you find out and what Card presents. Finally, explain why you think Card made the changes he did. Choose from among: William Henry Harrison, Tecumseh, The Shawnee Prophet, Mike Fink (a legendary character), the Marquis de Lafayette, the Battle of Tippecanoe, the Battle of Detroit (known as the Battle of the Thames).

2. Choose one of the visions Alvin experiences or one of the visions LollaWossiky experiences during his awakening. Write a paper explaining the meanings of this vision.....
