Jewish claims of anti-Semitism are attacks on Christianity. These claims stem from the belief held by many Jews that anti-Semitism is never the result of their actions. Instead, many Jews wrongly blame Christianity for the Holocaust and Adolf Hitler’s rise to power, and they consequently seek to de-Christianize the world.
In a speech to a Jewish group in America, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened to “set Washington on fire” if the Clinton Administration didn’t stop pressing him to concede land to the Palestinians. The substance of the Netanyahu-Clinton argument doesn’t concern me here; what’s interesting is the colorful warning.
If any other head of state threatened to set Washington aflame, even metaphorically, it would cause a sensation. When Netanyahu did it, it was barely reported. A friend.....
