Origen (Oregenes Adamantius)

185?-254

Alexandrian philosopher and Christian theologian who was one of the earliest intellectual fathersof the Greek Church.

Origen sought to amalgamate a comprehensive rendering of Hellenic science in a Christian interpretation. He was well acquainted with Greek astronomical theory, which he integrated with commentary on Genesis.
