Library (computer science) Summary

Library Identifiers

Library identifiers are words with default meanings specified in a library that is supplied by a programming language implementation.

Although library identifiers are not technically reserved words, their meanings are only changed if a programmer has a strong reason for doing so. The length of library identifiers is determined by the specific programming language compiler. In most programming languages, identifiers include combinations of letters, numbers, and underscores.
