According to Bruce Garrison, professor of journalism at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, journalists' dependence on computers for news gathering and connecting to the World Wide Web is now almost 100 percent. Of course, as with any other general source of news or background data, reporters must be cautious not to use web sites that may contain unreliable information.
