Shish Kebabs

A classic Turkish dish, shish kebabs are basically meats on a stick. These barbecued meats are gently marinated and, while cooking, infuse with flavors from the peppers and onions.

MarinadeKebabs
1 whole squeezed lemon1½ lbs. lamb (or beef) cut into 1½-inch
1 tsp. coarse sea saltpieces
6 cloves garlicbutton mushrooms
1 tsp. mintcherry tomatoes
1 tsp. oreganoyellow bell pepper cut in 2-inch pieces
Dash olive oilred bell pepper cut into 2-inch pieces
