Bosnia and Herzegovina is located in southeastern Europe on the Balkan Peninsula, between Croatia and Serbia and Montenegro. Bosnia and Herzegovina shares boundaries with Croatia on the N, W, and S, Serbia and Montenegro on the E, and the Adriatic Sea on the S, with a total boundary length of 1,389 km (863 mi).
