Danish physicist who has made significant contributions to the understanding of atomic nuclei.

Bohr, the son of Nobel Prize-winning physicist Niels Bohr, worked with his father on problems in atomic structure for much of his early life. His research into the mechanical properties of the atomic nucleus, particularly with regards to its deformation under some circumstances, led to his winning the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1975.
