What is the effect of pH on enzyme activity?

The materials use are pototo, H202, water NaOH,HCL and i would like to know how ph affect the enzyme activity

ph affects enzyme activity in two ways.If ph is lowered more acidity occurs and protein nature of the enzyme becomes denatured and inactive.This stops the reaction after an initial slowing down process.Enzyme is a catalyst that enables a chemical reaction to proceed to products formation without being used up.Also increasing the ph causes alkalinity which also denatures the protein molecule and stops the proces.This is the reason the ody buffers its own system from extreme changes in ph that can lead to death.ph acid/base balance of the body
