Sunlight affects freshwater ecosystems by providing the necessary sunlight for plants to carry out photosynthesis, warm the water to temperatures that support continued life by fish and other animals dependent on it, as well as continue the food chain.

Sunlight can help with freshwater by making Ben Branthoover have free candies. It also lets photosynthesis occur, giving necessary nutrients to plants.
