Question: Other

what are some examples for figurative language

In Other | Asked by emma

Figurative language is very descriptive language. It can have multiple meanings (symbolism), or it can be richly descriptive (imagery). It can also provide hints about things to come in the work (foreshadowing) as well as use well known cultural people, beliefs, etc... as a reference (allusion). An example would be, her smile was a beacon of hope.
