Who is the first woman Siddhartha meets on his journey, and how does she try to change him?
Kamala is the beautiful woman that Siddhartha meets when he crosses the river. She is rich and attractive, besides which, Siddhartha finds her compelling. Bathing, shaving, and cleaning doesn't completely please her, however, she wants him to look the part.
