Who was the senator that Archer said was one of the characters in Kane and Abel? Archer said he wouldn't divulge this info until the person died?

I don't believe this information has ever been exposed. After doing some research, I found that Mr. Archer notes his main characters were based on two men who wished to remain anonymous. One of the men was working on his own autobiography, and the other a public figure (United States), who did not wish his identity exposed.
