Gulliver decided to go back to sea for a few different reasons. One, Captain Robinson offered Gulliver the job of ship's surgeon. Second, the financial benefits were certainly attractive in terms of caring for his family. Third, and likely the most important reason.... Gulliver couldn't resist. He loved adventure.
