x^2 + 4x - 5 = 0

(x )(x ) ( -1)( +5)=0

(x-1) (x+5) = 0

Solve:

(x-1)=0

x-1+1=0+1

x=1

Solve:

(x+5) = 0

x+5-5 = 0-5

x=-5
