x^2 +2x-1=2

x^2 +2x-1-2=2-2

x^2 +2x-3=0

(x )(x ) ( -1)( +3)=0

(x-1) (x+3) = 0

Solve:

(x-1)=0

x-1+1=0+1

x=1

Solve:

(x+3) = 0

x+3-3 = 0-3

x=-3
