1x^2 + 5x - 14 = 0

(x )(x ) ( -2)( +7)=0

(x-2) (x+7) = 0

Solve:

(x-2)=0

x-2+2=0+2

x=2

Solve:

(x+7) = 0

x+7-7 = 0-7

x=-7
