The biggest change wrought by the Industrial Reveloution was the way in which goods were produced. Up until the late 1700s, goods were produced in the home or small shops. After the advent of the Industrial Revolution, industrialization provided the means for mass production and goods typically made by hand were produced in volume by specialized machinery in factories.
