Question: History & Social Studies

I know many Quakers were conductors on the Underground Railroad. Did some Quakers also own slaves or did owning slaves go against their religion?

Sources for where you got your information would be appreciated!

They did they also owned slaves for cash crops as an income and sold their slaves to receive more cash crops and also there has been research that the slave owners sold rotted corps from deceased peasents (a.k.a slaves)
