Chinese: they were the least likely to adjust to american life-styles. This may be because they would never convert to Christianity. They lived in the tenements, but were the cleanest of ethnic groups.

Irish: worked in liquor stores and all drank a lot. They were successful.

African Americans: although possibly had the worst living conditions, adapted to the US the best. They were discriminated against when it came to jobs and places to live.

Jews: owned sweat shops. love money. would avoid spending money on food and shelter in order to save the money.
