Agamemnon is still relevant today as the basic and universal themes of wisdom and knowledge still resonate with audiences now as they did in ancient times. There is a line from the play that says that Zeus makes mortals suffer and learn. In other words, learning only happens when someone is made to be uncomfortable (suffer). This also opens up the entire relevant question that audiences are still asking today: is our life determined by fate, or free will.
