Who is Igor Stravinsky from What to Listen for in Music and what is their importance?

Igor Stravinsky (1882 - 1971) was a Russian composer whose monumental work "The Rite of Spring", a work which was a great inspiration to Aaron Copland. Stravinsky's masterpiece debuted in 1913, when Copland was only 13 years old. Stravinsky was also a noted pianist and conductor who was nominated as one of the most influential people of the century.
