Gotha and Gordo Branlin are Zephyr's resident bullies. They enjoy picking on boys younger than they are and attack Cory and his friends mercilessly. Because of this, one of Cory's friends learns to box from a book and attacks Gotha Branlin in the schoolyard. Gotha learns a lesson and never attacks these boys again. In the end, Gotha becomes a model citizen. His brother, however, is killed while attempting to rob a convenience store.
