What's the plot summary of The Blacker the Berry by Wallace Thurman?

In essence, this is a novel about prejudice within the black community itself. Emma Morgan is a young black girl, ostracized in her own community because she is too black. Unhappy and rejected by her family and community, Emma leaves her home to find a new life and embrace her heritage in New York. She becomes a part of the Harlem Renaisance.
