What is the theme of '' The Country of the Blind'' by H. G. Wells?

I think that Wells illustrates the limitations of human senses as well as the possibilities. Is the ability to see, for Núñez, a blessing or a curse? Does conformity outweigh the possibilities resulting from sight?
