Was Romeo the demise of many characters?

Was Romeo the reason why so many died in the book?

Romeo's impulsivenesss might be blamed for a number of the deaths in the play, including his own. Mercutio, unaware of Romeo's relationship with Juliet, is killed as a result of the family feud. Had Romeo told Mercutio about his love for Juliet and their marriage, he may not have fought Tybalt.... something that caused both Mercutio and Tybalt's deaths. Juliet faked her death in order to join Romeo.... she died as a result of suicide after Romeo takes his own life.
