Socrates is considered the father of western philosophy.

The most direct answer would be Socrates but it is important to note that he is the father of philosophy in the West. When it comes to Eastern philosophy or African Philosophy it is hard to pin point one person as the development of philosophy didn't follow a systematic trend contray to that in the wes.
