In The Sorcerer King, they come ashore on the Island of Weir, which is where Gabriel Drake is from. They are not recognized, however, and they are able to have shelter for a very short time. However, when Gabriel Drake makes an appearance at the palace, they know that it is only a matter of time before they are discovered.
