Who is Faith Bont from Year of Wonders and what is their importance?

Faith is Anna's half-sister, daughter of Aphra and Joss Bont. At three years old, she is the youngest child and only girl. She is the last surviving child when Aphra loses her sanity. Anna does her best to help Faith, but she, too, dies of the plague.
