How does Frank O'Hara use imagery in Why I Am Not a Painter?

O'Hara begins work on the poem "ORANGES" with a similarly casual attitude: "One day I am thinking / of a color: orange." As in the section dealing with Goldberg's painting, the phrase "days go by" is used to denote the mundane passage of time.
