Violet Baudelaire is the oldest of the Baudelaire children, and she is described as extremely bright. Violet's genius lies in her ability to invent things. As the oldest Baudelaire, Violet feels responsible for her younger siblings, Klaus and Sunny. She promised her mother that she would always protect them from harm, and that she would do her best to keep them safe. Because of their circumstances, the children do not get into the type of fights that are common among siblings..... they have to stick together.
