"Processes" personifies the poems which knot into a final word and caw terribly in the author's mind. She also makes wide use of similes to compare the brevity of her poems to bird tracks and the final word to being like a crow shot from a tree. This poem utilizes imagery based on birds to describe how the author wrote poems in the past and the present, as well as what her poems were and are like.
