Who is Hala Kamil from Treasure and what is their importance?

Hala Kamil is an Egyptian UN director, and the target of several assassination attempts. He first meets Dirk when her plane crashes near his ship on the Greenland fjord. Hala is locked in the restroom when Dirk arrives, and she demands his identity to be certain he's not another terrorist. She is self-assured and refuses to be pushed out of office by the attempts on her life.

Hala later becomes the target of another assassination attempt and is kidnapped. Dirk comes to her rescue on both occasions. She slips into bed with him aboard the Lady Flamborough after the final rescue. She admits that she could fall in love with Dirk, but resists, later marrying an Egyptian political figure.
