Who is Princess Mary from The Wives of Henry VIII and what is their importance?

Princess Mary was Henry VIII's daughter by Catherine of Aragon. After his marriage to Anne Boleyn, Henry removed Mary from the line of succession. Later, he had her declared illegitimate. Mary, none-the-less, would go onto become the Queen of England after her brother Edward's death.
