Part three of "The Toni Morrison Dreams" uses word placement effectively. Alexander breaks phrases unconventionally in the lines within the two stanzas in
Part Three, and instead of using the commas to end each line, she chooses to end the first two lines with the words "love" and "loves," a possible foreshadowing of what is to come in Part Four.
