Why did Lepore choose to highlight certain aspects of Wonder Woman's history and less detail in others

Lepore had to pick and choose what parts of Wonder Woman's history. What led her to these editorial decisions?

Like any author, Lepre wanted to build his character in a certain way hence using certain history to better define Wonder Woman.
