In The Sea of Monsters, Clarisse shows up in the Confederate Ghost ship. As a spoil of war, the losing side of any war owes its servitude to Aries God of War. They are 'on loan' to Clarisse so that she can complete her quest. She picks up Percy and Annabeth but is very upset that they are trying to horn in on her quest.
