In The Sea of Monsters, the prophecy states that a son of either Zeus, Poisiden, or Hades will become on his 16th birthday a weapon of incredible magnitude and that he will determine the fate of Mount Olympus. Annabeth finally tells him after the Confederate Ship is sunk, so that Percy will realize why people are so guarded around him.
