Who is Kevin Adams from The Rocky Road to Romance and what is their importance?

Daisy's teenager brother, Kevin, lives with her for much of the novel, while their parents are out of town. In the typical teenage boy fashion, Kevin eats more than anyone else in the novel, except perhaps Bob the dog. He interprets many of the wild and dangerous events in Daisy's life as cool. He rushes to tell his friends each time something happens, such as the chase of the highway following their day at the amusement park.
