Who is Coral from The Power and the Glory and what is their importance?

Coral is the young girl living on the banana plantation, she is the daughter of Mrs. and Captain Fallows. She helps the priest hide and brings him food and beer. She prevents the priest from searching the building he is hiding in. She is killed at the end of the story and it is implied that she was murdered by the Yankee.
