The Penguin Complete Saki

How is irony used in "The Toys of Peace" by Saki?

I would like to know how irony is used and how it reflects in the story.

In "The Toys of Peace," a young man named Harvey, at his sister's request, brings toys that have nothing to do with battles and fighting as gifts. Ironically the boys ignore these gifts and prefer to study battles and war.
