David's decision to keep the fact that he and Norah's infant daughter was born alive and give up to die because she had down syndrome foreshadows troubles in his marriage. David must come to terms with the decision he made alone.... and Norah is left wishing she could have seen her child before she was taken away. Norah doesn't learn about her daughter's existence until after David's death.
