Pam Gold is David's social worker. He sees Ms. Gold as "an angel." Ms. Gold becomes one of those people who helps David find his way in the early days of the foster care program. She slowly wins David's trust as she talks to him in those early days. As Ms. Gold prepares David for his first court appearance, he discovers that he'll be facing his mother in the courtroom and that she'll know what he said against her. David immediately recants, thinking that his mother will eventually get him back and will punish him for saying those things. Ms. Gold continues to stand by David and works with him for years to come.
