Judith Levy is Mordecai Levy's wife, Benjamin's mother, and Ernie's grandmother. Judith is described as unusual and yet typical for a Jewish woman. Judith is a strong woman, who knows her mind. Thus, it is uncharacteristic when Mordecai is able to trick her into believing that he is a Just Man, though she falls in love with him without knowing that he is not. Once married, Judith adopts the legend of Just Men as her own and takes on the identity of the Lamed-Vovnik of the Levy line.
